Festival of the Lakes entertains, educates fairgoers

FAIRHAVEN (Atysian Press) - Jublas towered overhead for the first time just outside of Fairhaven in recent memory without a single resident batting an eye.

The Festival of the Lakes had set up the grove of massive semi-sentient plants as part of a comprehensive course designed to entertain the crowd of participants that attended as well as serve as a bit of a refresher course for veterans and newer adventurers alike. Fairgoers were treated to several seminars taught by some of the realm's foremost authorities on a number of subjects ranging from exploration, to harvesting, and the ever-important crafting ability.

Split into three days, the weekend event started off with a search and recomposition seminar led by Stcentor. The next event focused on finding resources of particular qualities, with special source nodes planted to help educate event participants. Capping off the first evening was a crafting seminar.

The event continues Saturday, December 16 with a class on elemental damage and how it affects kitins, followed by one of the festival's biggest draws - an enigmatic course involving the recipe of a Talodi, for which few details have been given.

The festival caps its run on Sunday, December 17 with what is being called the "Traveller's Daydream" - a large course designed to offer tips on how to navigate oneself through wild, uncharted areas of Atys, followed by the culmination of a crafting special that runs the entire course of the celebration.

For more information on times and events, as well as locations, fairgoers are encouraged to read the official post on the subject.
